Located in the middle of Amstelplein is Café Blooker, the beautiful old-style house between the skyscrapers on Amstelplein. A real concept among the business guests! From Monday to Friday, we are open for lunch, drinks and dinner and can be rented out for parties and events on weekends. We completely renovated Café Blooker in the summer of 2022 and gave it a new look, carefully curated our menu, and aim to pleasantly surprise our guests from early morning to late evening with quality, excellent service, and unique combinations that are really worth slipping away from the office for. Now we are looking for a chef who has the passion and experience to set up and run Blooker's concept. Job Description 

• Develop and launch a new concept and corresponding menu;

• Lead, manage, and recruit the kitchen team;

• Work closely with the rest of the team and the manager on the floor;

• Ultimately responsible for the quality and consistency of the kitchen;

• Coordinate and organise the execution of work in the kitchen;

• Maintain purchasing and stock control in the kitchen;

• Motivate, encourage and correct staff when necessary; 

• Receive and check orders;

• Ultimately responsible for keeping the work environment clean;

• Work cost-consciously, effectively, and efficiently;

• Ensure compliance with safety and HACCP regulations.
