De Groene Olifant is a beautiful and old café 2.0 in Amsterdam-East, under the smoke of Artis. A place where good food, excellent service, hospitality, and quality drinks take precedence. This beautiful establishment is the place where the entire neighbourhood loves to spend their free time! Hospitality and conviviality are paramount in this concept and everyone is welcome for a nice beer on the terrace, a delicious bottle of wine with a cheese platter, an extensive dinner in the evening or a cocktail in the late hours. There is something for everyone here and everyone will feel at home.

We are looking for experienced and less experienced staff for behind the bar and in service. You ensure that the guests of De Groene Olifant can enjoy a perfect experience. You exude hospitality and joy and love interacting with people. In addition, you keep a cool head in stressful situations and always strive for perfection. 

Job Description

• Making it a fun working day together with your team;

• Providing explanations of the menu;

• Taking orders;

• Preparing drinks;

• Setting and clearing tables;

• Serving dishes and drinks;

• Processing payments;

• Ensuring that the standards of De Groene Olifant are maintained and that guests leave with a good feeling;

• Creating a pleasant atmosphere that is also felt by all guests.

Who are you?

• Experience in hospitality is a plus;

• You are enthusiastic, flexible and a real team player;

• You always have a hospitable attitude;

• Your goal is to provide every guest with their dream evening;

• You live in Amsterdam or the surrounding area;

• You are available for at least 2 days;

• You have a passion for the hospitality industry.
