Sous chef

LELY exudes energy! Besides delicious dishes and a very extensive drinks menu, there's a good chance that you'll meet new people with us. Our doors are open from early in the morning until late at night for everyone, so we have a carefully composed menu ready for every moment of the day. The kitchen team works creatively with delicious fresh ingredients, so that even the classics are transformed into a surprising masterpiece on your plate. 

We are looking for a sous-chef who supports the chef in further developing the organisation and the menu, is creative and not afraid to bring together extraordinary products from different parts of the world on a plate and above all is a tremendous team player! You will, together with the chef, take the current team under your wing and, among other things, bear responsibility for the daily operation.

The role;
  • Leading and directing your team, you are a true team player; 

  • Co-creating the menu that changes every three months;

  • Co-responsible for the quality and consistency of the kitchen; 

  • Keeping track of purchasing and stock in the kitchen; 

  • Receiving and checking orders; 

  • Responsible for keeping the work environment clean; 

  • Responsibility for identifying any issues and defects in the work environment; 

  • Cost-conscious, effective and efficient working; 

  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations;  

  • Responsible for HACCP.  

Who are you?
  • Proven management experience in the kitchen, or ambitious & quick to learn;

  • Full-time availability (4-day workweek negotiable);

  • Affinity with world cuisine, creative mindset;

  • Good communication skills; 

  • You have a love for the hospitality industry; 

  • Positive attitude & you ensure a pleasant working atmosphere.
